The "Message" paints all reality with a very broad brush, and the hand behind the paint pots is that of Gwen Shamblin ..
It tells you how to eat, down to how lick salt off potato chips.
It tells you that weight is a sign of spiritual deficiency to Zion and yet, in attracting recruits, is mysteriously silent about it ..
It tells you that God's love is something you ultimately have to earn by your body fat percentile
It tells you that division in your family at the direction of your shepherds is godly wisdom
It tells you that to trust in Christ alone for salvation is "false grace" .. despite what He and His apostles say to the contrary
It tells you that Doing The Will of God saves you, rejecting the Bible's teaching that by grace is one saved BY FAITH and not of works, refusing to acknowledge that faith precedes the fruit of good works .. and not the other way around
It tells you how sinful the world that doesn't follow its direction really is and sanctifies worldly cares, lusts and passions within its four walls as something the "pure" can freely indulge in ..
It tells you to concern yourself with your outer appearances at the expense of a sterile, impoverished inner spirituality
It tells you that being an unpaid marketer for the WDW Inc's product line is Christian evangelism
It tells you that its' teaching is "Mere Christianity" with a tap dance through the Scriptures that doesn't begin to support the belief that the Weigh Down philosophy is apostolic teaching
It tells you to do as its leaders say and not as they do - for example, dictating the disruption of marriages and families across the nation even as Gwen continues to cleave to an obese husband who has nothing to do with Remnant leadership whatsoever
Excuse me, are these outer limits of the Remnant world worthy of consigning your eternal soul to?
Think about it.
Let a little video clip help stimulate a bit of that ..
